Washington – The
Perfect Climate for Wine
In celebration of our state’s bountiful wine growing regions, we have paired
our Spring Seasonal Menu with Washington wines.
Start off with a Citrus Salad or Fried Prosciutto Rolls. The next course offers
up a selection of Grilled Vegetable Ravioli, Tuscan Roast Chicken, Crab Capellini,
or Trattoria Steak. Do save room for our yummy desserts, with either the Chocolate
Gelato, or the Honey and Pine Nut Tart, created by founder Diane Symms.
The Washington wines we have selected to pair
with our fantastic food, are produced from the Columbia Valley and Horse Heaven
Hills AVA’s.(American Viticulture Areas) An AVA has unique climate,
soil, and physical features, which distinguishes it from surrounding areas. Horse
Heaven Hills is the newest of the two AVA’s, with steep south-facing slopes
for optimum vineyard location. To the contrary, the Columbia Valley AVA
is the oldest and largest wine producing region in the state. Our favorite featured
spring wine is the Italian varietal Barbera, from Desert Wind. View
the featured wines here.
